Handmade Monday #292

Welcome to Handmade Monday, our link up for all things handmade. Crafts, decor ideas and recipes are all welcome here, if it’s handmade we are happy for you to share it. This is a great place to find a few new creative ideas and inspiration too.

I hope everyone has had a good week with at least a little time for crafting. We had a very short working week here, it was a bank holiday on Monday, so obviously for the rest of the week no one has a clue what day it is! Then on Thursday we went to a wedding which was just such a joyful event. We danced so much I got blisters on my feet even though my shoes were actually pretty comfy. My fitbit did clock over 12k steps though and they were all in the same wedge sandals, I had flats in the car but thought I was ok - rookie, “out of practice going out out” mistake obviously!

I am still working on the granny square blanket that I shared last week but I put that down the other day to start an autumnal cross stitch design. I got this far and realised it could go in a Christmassy direction!

It’s not going to go in a Christmassy direction, September is way to early for me to even start thinking about Christmas but when I asked on my Instagram stories 86% of people were thinking it was going to be a Christmas cross stitch!

Now it’s time to take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Click through on the photos to see the original posts.

  • Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

Niki from Life as a LEO Wife shared these lovely rope pumpkins, they really are proof that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to make really classy decor items.

Wendy from My French Twist has a tutorial to make these lovely personalised cloth napkin or serviette holders. They are based on some gorgeous ones she has, made years ago by Aunt Sabine, do check them out.

I am stunned by the gorgeous work of art knitted Christmas tree skirt made by Ulrike, apparently it was quite a struggle to finish but it really is a thing of beauty. The pattern is from the Harry Potter Knitting Magic book.

Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time.

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
