Welcome to Handmade Monday, our weekly link up where we all get chance to share what we've been up to all week; your makes, bakes and all your adventures in the world of crafts!
This week I was inspired to try the idea that Claire from Pillar Box Blue shared with us last week, to make faux plants from old green plastic bottles.
My green bottle was a little bit pale really but this idea is all about using what you have! Not perfect but I had fun and my little faux succulent looks cute in this little pot I found in the garage. I just glued it to a circle of card and popped it in the pot on top of an empty cotton reel, then added a little gravel.
Now lets see the features from last week's Handmade Monday.
'Do you have fabric samples lying around?' asked Chris from Made by Chrissie D. I think quite a lot of us can answer "yah ha!" to that! Chris made a lovely cushion cover with her sofa samples, I'm inspired!
Lindsey from Winding Road Crochet shared a free crochet pattern with us for a lovely wrap. It looks like a really versatile piece, perfect for inbetweeny weather!
Congratulations to you both. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to show off just a little (I think a little showing off is in order now and again!)
I do try my best to visit you all and also to pin your projects to our Handmade Monday Pinterest board. The trouble is that the more popular the link up gets the harder it is for me to get to you all. Please do consider joining our Pinterest Board if you've not already done so and then you can pin your projects directly. To join just follow the board and follow the instructions on the board description.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, (it's always better together) so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another :-)
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
- Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
- Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
- You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
- Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
