Welcome to Handmade Monday.
Handmade Monday is our weekly link up, a place for creative bloggers to share their projects, tutorials and recipes and a great way to browse for some new ideas.
We had a very rare occurrence in our house earlier this week, I had an evening when I was home alone so I decided to tidy and sort my yarn stash. I only got as far as the first bag when I discovered some bits of cotton blend left over from my Geometric Heart Baby Blanket so I was forced to stop sorting and I made some pretty bunting instead! The pattern is from issue 93 of Mollie Makes Magazine. There’s more photos of it over on my Instagram too.
Now let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Please click on the photos to go through to the original posts if you want to pin any of these.
Do you say plaid or check? Do you know your tartans? What’s the difference between Buffalo check and Gingham? These are all rhetorical questions, I have no idea! Whatever you call this (gingham right?) Kippi at Home has made an absolutely beautiful appliquéd seasonal cushion.
Margi from Zeleni Trenutki has turned a pile of crocheted flowers into a beautiful piece of art. You might need Google to translate if you don’t speak Slovenian and you want to read the details, but the pictures are pretty explanatory.
Maya from The Little Treasures has used crochet flowers in a different way, to make gorgeous rings. She’s provided a free pattern too :-)
Congratulations to you all. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to add one to your blog :-)
Handmade Monday has a small but friendly little Facebook group for bloggers who link up their ideas here regularly. If you'd like to join us you'd be welcome. It's not a high pressure, rules filled group but if we come across something that's helped us in our blogging lives we share it in the group.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, we most definitely are better together, so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another ^_^
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
