Welcome to Handmade Monday, our weekly craft link up. A place for creative bloggers to share their ideas and projects and for us all to find some new inspiration or our next craft idea.
I was pleased that we’ve had some good late summer weather here this week. It’s given me a chance to wear the summery crochet top that I finished just as summer is ending! This is not the first time I’ve finished a handmade garment just as the season to wear it is over. It doesn’t matter too much though as I keep my clothes for years and years!
It’s a free pattern from Mama in a Stitch. I made mine in an aran cotton blend WI yarn from Hobbycraft in cornflower blue. I think this yarn was a little bit thinner than the recommended yarn, my granny squares were a little smaller than they were supposed to be but with this pattern it doesn’t matter too much. You work the length and width of the pieces in rows until they measure the right size so I just added extra rows. I did use part of a 4th ball of yarn instead of the 3 100g balls it says are needed in the pattern.
Right, now here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. If you want to pin any of these ideas please do click through via the photo to the original project.
Decor Craft Design shared this lovely autumn leaf picture, so simple and yet so fancy! I love the idea of art that anyone can make for themselves.
Maria Jose shared some lovely little sailboats she has made with driftwood, aren’t they lovely?
White House Crafts has a super sweet and quick paper crafting idea to make these 3D pumpkins.
Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

Let's support one another
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
