Handmade Monday #295

Welcome to Handmade Monday, our link up for all things handmade. Crafts, decor ideas and recipes are all welcome here, if it’s handmade then we are happy for you to share it. This is a great place to find a few new creative ideas and inspiration too.

The baby blanket I was talking about last week is now finished - whoop whoop! I’m really pleased with how it turned out. It was inspired by the spin your granny blanket by Stitched Up Craft but I used a solid granny square instead of a traditional more open one. I just prefer a less gappy design for baby blankets if possible.

I finished it with a super simple border, one round of htr in white, then a round of dc, 1 chain, miss a stitch and dc in next stitch, in yellow. Then a final round in white of dc in the chain space, chain 1, repeat. This is not worded as a proper crochet pattern should be, I’m no crochet designer that’s for sure. But if you do crochet you’ll get my gist! I use Uk crochet terms just FYI.

Ok, let’s get back to handmade ideas and inspiration and take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Click through on the photos to see the original posts.

  • Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

It seems you can turn almost anything that is round into a pumpkin! Take this lovely pumpkin make by Creatively Beth from a bushel basket for example.

You all know how I love a good upcycled project so I’m really impressed with this simple plant arrangement from Taller de Suenos de Arish made from glass yogurt pots and a strawberry box.

Niki from life as a LEO Wife has made some rather spooky crystals balls for halloween decorating.

Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time.

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.

At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
