Handmade Monday #315

Welcome to Handmade Monday no.315. Handmade Monday is our link up for handmade ideas, crafts and recipes. Creative bloggers can share their tutorials and projects and we can all be inspired.

Something for my UK readers, I’ve got 2 tickets for the Creative Craft Show at the NEC in Birmingham coming up in March. Do stop by and enter, it’s a great day out for anyone who loves crafts.

I’m off the the CHSI Craft Industry trade show (also at the NEC) tomorrow - Monday - as it happens. It’s a show where the craft industry showcases its new products and smaller craft retailers visit, place orders etc. It’s not a chance for me to shop sadly, but I always come away inspired with new ideas and it’s nice to meet lots of people who also love crafts and crafting. I intend to spam my Insta stories with all the things I see so if you follow there I apologise in advance!

Let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Click through on the photos to see the original posts.

  • Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

I struggled with features this week as we had such a lot of Valentine ideas shared of course but now the 14th is gone I wondered if it was a bit unseasonal to features hearts. However, I decided that 1) maybe we all like to pin ideas to have ready for next year and 2) hearts and love are nice all year round aren’t they? And 3) with wedding season coming up lots of crafts that seem very valentine focused at first glance would actually be perfect for weddings and anniversaries too. That’s my rational and I’m sticking to it!

Pretty DIY Home made this beautiful fabric heart decoration. It’s intended for valentine’s Day of course but I think it is so pretty you’d want to leave it up all year round!

Saved from Salvage makes these gorgeous seed paper hearts, now these would make brilliant wedding favours wouldn’t they?

Haekelfieber Austria has made this really sweet crochet bag. The instructions are in German, but if your german is rusty or non existent google translate can help and Sandra has done a chart too so if you have some crochet experience I’m sure it would be work-out-able!

Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.

At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
