Handmade Monday #338

Hello everyone, and welcome to Handmade Monday. Handmade Monday is our weekly link up for handmade ideas, crafts and recipes. Creative bloggers can share their tutorials and projects and we can all check out all the ideas and get inspired.

First a word of warning; I’m writing this whilst watching the women’s world cup final so if it’s full of mistakes and typos I apologise in advance, it’s all very tense! England does not have a great history of actually winning any football so as a nation our breath is collectively held. But we like Spain too so if they do win I will try to be happy for them.

Did anyone join in Granny Square Day over on Instagram on the 15th (last Tuesday)? You all know how much I love a crochet granny square so I can never resist adding a photo or 2 to the hashtag. The idea originally was that everyone would share a square photo full screen close up of a granny square so when you view #grannysquareday it would look like a virtual blanket. People tend to share a lot more artistic photos these days with clever angles and props plus all sorts of granny square projects too. This is both a blessing and a curse. The blessing is more gorgeous granny square ideas and inspiration and the curse is the virtual blanket really doesn’t work any more!

For the last 3 or 4 years I’ve taken a bunch of screenshots to create a virtual blanket to share anyway. Each year I think I’ll not bother again as it’s quite time consuming then when it comes to it I just can’t resist!

Let’s check out the features from last week’s Handmade Monday.

Click through on the photos to see the original posts.

  • Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

Niky from The House on Silverado painted an old chair to make this lovely teacher’s chair. How cute is that?

Christine’s Crafts has a lovely tutorial to make a makeup bag.

Jeanne Selep from Selep Imaging has made this gorgeous mosaic chair. It’s so, so pretty.

Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.

At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
