Hi everyone and welcome to Handmade Monday #105, this is our weekly craft link up where you can share your latest craft project or find some new ideas.
I’ve spent the week finally with some Christmas preparations, I’ve got on with a few presents and decorations. I’m actually feeling pretty Christmassy now! When the kids were little I always felt Christmas really started with their school Christmas concerts, then they grew up and I really missed those concerts especially the singing. 3 years ago a friend of mine started signing in a gospel choir and invited us to their Christmas concert. Now I have a new ‘Christmas can begin’ moment! This year’s concert was last night and it was SO good. I even had a mince pie and a cup of tea in the interval - (for those who don’t know mince pies are a Christmas essential here in the UK, you can find out how to make them here)
Enough rambling from me, let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Please click on the photos to go through to the original posts if you want to pin any of these ideas.
Decor Craft Design wowed me with these lovely hand painted gift tags, so, so lovely.
I’m going to say something a little bit controversial now - I’m not a big fan of the elf on the shelf - I know, sorry! I’m just really glad this wasn’t a thing when our kids were little. It was hard enough to remember the tooth fairy (sometimes that had to wait a few nights for that) so I don’t think I’d of got on very well remembering an elf everyday! However I do love this idea from Victoria at Dazzle while Frazzled who uses a note from Santa, delivered by the elf to encourage a pre Christmas toy sort and declutter.
Congratulations to you both. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to add one to your blog :-)
Handmade Monday has a group Pinterest board. I pin as many of the projects shared here as I can each week, but I don’t always get to you all. If you’d like to join the board and pin your own projects there you are very welcome. Just follow all my boards on Pinterest then email or Pinterest message me, letting me know the email address you use for Pinterest and I’ll send you an invite.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, we most definitely are better together, so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another ^_^
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
