Welcome to Handmade Monday 88. Handmade Monday is our weekly craft link up where creative bloggers share their ideas and tutorials. It's a great place to find some new inspiration and maybe a handy tip or two. Grab a cuppa and stop for a while, share what you've been up to (old stuff is fine too) and visit some of your crafting friends.
It's been a busy old week round here. My cousin is getting married in October so we had a 'crafting for the wedding session' midweek which was loads of fun. It was my brother's birthday and he had a big party on Saturday. I had very limited time for cake making so had to throw something together last minute. It had some sparker candles and a few cake topper type things added too, to jazz it up a bit. The 5 was chocolate cake (this recipe) and the 0 was coffee cake (this recipe with 1/2 a shot of expresso added) Can you guess how old he is?
Let's have the features from last week's Handmade Monday.
Chas from Chas' Crazy Creations is always sharing how she turns junk into something new and useful. I love how she spray painted an old Candelabra and turned it into a new outdoor light feature, very clever.
Alexandra from Eye Love Knots has a really fun, summery, polka dot nail idea, it looks so quick and easy to do too.
Made with a Twist shared a pattern for a brilliant double sided crochet hat that is just so clever.
Lastly I just want to mention a new project from Claire who you'll all know from Pillar Box Blue. A new blog for all things maps; Picture Box Blue. Claire has already started to build a collection of copy write free printable maps that you can use for your craft projects - what a fabulous resource!
Congratulations to you all. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to add one to your blog :-)
Did you know we have group pinterest board for Handmade Monday? I try to pin all the ideas shared here but don't always have time to get to you all. You can join us if you are a blogger who links up here at Handmade Monday regularly (or even occasionally!) and then pin your projects directly to the board yourself.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, (it's always better together) so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another ^_^
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
