Handmade Monday #243
/Hi everyone, and welcome to this week’s Handmade Monday, our weekly link up for anything and everything creative and handmade.
Nothing very exciting is happening here right now, unfortunately our youngest has tested positive for covid so he’s having to isolate in his bedroom. Here the rules are that the rest of us don’t have to isolate as we are all double jabbed and have all tested negative but we are erring on the side of caution anyway. We’ve gone back to only seeing people outside for a cuppa or walk and, to be honest, not doing even that very much. It’s only 10 days and seems worth it to avoid any unnecessary risk to anyone else. He’s not really been ill at all so far which is good news, just a slight runny nose, so we are hoping it will stay that way.
My craft space is a right old mess at the moment, I really should use this time to get it back under control. I shared this on facebook the other day - this really does sum me up!
We have a Handmade Monday facebook group which you are welcome to join and share the same blog posts there that you share here.
Before we check out the features from last week’s Handmade Monday I’m just going to put a call out to any craft bloggers visiting to see if anyone would be interested in joining the Pinterest Challenge that is hosted by Alexandra from Eye Love Knots. The challenge runs once a month and has a theme, but within that theme you can pick anything you’ve pinned previously and give it a try, put your own spin on it etc.
I always have a lot of fun, finding an idea to try and it’s nice to actually be prompted to make something I pinned way back when! Just the rummage through my pinterest boards searching for ideas is most enjoyable! If you are interested, join the Pinterest challenge facebook group to find all the details, dates etc.
Ok, now for the features from last week -
Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Frau Tschi-Tschi has a free pattern for a lovely amigurumi bee, isn’t it cute?
Creatively Beth has a free printable Back to School notebook cover to colour.
Niki from Life as an LEO Wife shared a great tutorial showing how to create a lovely pumpkin sign without a Cricut machine (or any other kind of cutting machine!)
Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog. I think you should - you deserve it!!!
Please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Time’s are tough so every little thing we can do to support each other helps right? :-)
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
