Handmade Monday #424

Hello everyone, a very warm welcome to you all. Handmade Monday is our creative link up where bloggers can link up their craft tutorials, projects, recipes etc to inspire us all.

This Handmade Monday #424 will stay open for 2 weeks. I’m on a mini break for part of next week so I won’t have time to visit your lovely projects or choose features properly. I’d much rather take my time, leave the link up open for 2 weeks and browse your contributions to the link party, select the features etc when I’m back from the break. We can have extra features in 2 weeks time too!

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been sharing what are possibly the longest craft tutorials I’ve ever written! These tote bags made from tiny scraps or crumbs of fabric. I was inspired by a challenge on last year’s Great British Sewing Bee but it took a while to:

  1. actually get round to experimenting with the process

  2. finish the 2 versions of the tote bags

  3. sort through the 90+ photo I took as I went along and then

  4. write the whole thing up into a hopefully cohesive and understandable set of tutorials

Enough about me, now let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday.

Click through on the photos to see the original posts.

  • Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

Sandra from Haekelfieber-Austria shared her pattern to make this sweet crochet star cushion. Sandra writes in German (or maybe Austrian German, I’m afraid I don’t know the difference, sorry Sandra) but it looks like google translate does a pretty good job and Sandra has included plenty of photos if you’d like to have a go at making one yourself.

Natasha from Serenity You shared how to make a beautiful floral crown with real flowers.

24 Hour Family showed us how to put together this adorable owl fruit platter.

Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.

At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
