Handmade Monday #429
/Welcome to our weekly creative link up, Handmade Monday.
This week I’ve been finishing off the memory quilt I’ve been making for the Festival of Quilts. I’m not a quilter, in fact other than baby playmats this is the first quilted thing I’ve ever made so I feel like I’ve made lots of mistakes. It has been fun to put together and I’m happy with how it’s turning out.
I marked the places I wanted to hand stitch with a water erasable pen. I used to use frixon pens to mark fabric, the ones you just iron away, but then I heard the marks can come back if the fabric gets really cold. This was when I switched to the water erasable pens instead, you just spray with water and the marks disappear. I really hope this is a better solution and these marks don’t reappear at any point.
If you have any great suggestions for temporarily marking fabric do leave them in the comments :-)
Now let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
