Hi everyone and a very warm welcome to Handmade Monday. This is our weekly link up where we get to share what we've been up to all week; your makes, bakes and all your adventures in the world of crafts!
After the beginnings of Spring last week the UK seems to have been buried under an enormous rain cloud for the last few days, it's all very depressing.
The highlight of my week was a trip to the pictures to see the latest Avengers film. Our youngest was back from uni for the weekend and asked if I wanted to go with him, he even made me a powerpoint presentation to catch up on the 2 films in the Marvel series that I've missed so I'd be Infinity War ready!
Now, without further ado, here are the features from last week's Handmade Monday.
Anyone who visits Handmade Monday regularly will have seen the development of this beautiful Granny Wheel Square crocheted blanket by Sigrid of Kat Kat Katoen as she have been sharing sneak peeks of it for a while now. The finished blanket is just gorgeous, there is nothing about this that I don't love! .
Elvira from Chez Vies shared this pretty patchwork cushion cover. Elvira keeps scraps of fabric in 2" squares in a jar and then uses them for wonderful projects like this. I tend to keep my scraps just in their weird scrappy shapes but if they were already cut I MIGHT be more inclined to actually use them. (got to be worth a try surely!) I especially love all the bright scraps with the monochrome border.
Last but not least is a special mention for this A-MAZE-ING quilt by Jo at Three Stories High. It's just beautiful and the pieces of fabric in it are old clothes, gifts from friends and family, leftover from other projects etc. What a wonderful way to use a fabric stash and make something stunning to keep for ever.
Congratulations to you all. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to show off just a little (I think a little showing off is in order now and again!)
I do try my best to visit you all and also to pin your projects to our Handmade Monday Pinterest board. The trouble is that the more popular the link up gets the harder it is for me to get to you all. Please do consider joining our Pinterest Board if you've not already done so and then you can pin your projects directly. To join just follow the board and follow the instructions on the board description.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, (it's always better together) so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another :-)
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
