Hello and a very warm welcome to the 100th Handmade Monday here at Sum of their Stories!
Can you believe it? 100! Wow, I guess we should celebrate our centenary. I’m not well know for being super organised so I’ve not planned anything. I’m going to make this all about you lot and we’ll have some extra features this week - yay!
Some of you have been with Handmade Monday longer than me, when it was hosted by Vicky and before that Wendy. For everyone whose stuck with it when it moved here to Sum of their Stories THANK YOU, and to all the newbies who’ve joined us since THANK YOU TOO!! I love that you’ve joined us, stuck with us and return week after week to share your crafty goings on.
On Friday this week I went to the Creative Show at the NEC in Birmingham, so much to see and do. I’ll share lots more about what I saw and did later in the week.
Now let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Please click on the photos to go through to the original posts if you want to pin any of these ideas.
These little gift tags with initials from White House Crafts are so sweet, I love the plaited coloured yarn.
Winding Road Crochet is sharing an absolutely beautiful blanket in sections during autumn and winter this year. It’s a C2C graph based blanket and the sections just seem to be getting cuter and cuter. Last week Linsey shared the Shy Deer square and it’s just the sweetest thing! If you’ve not tried C2C crochet I’d highly recommend it, it grows quickly and the texture is beautiful.
Claire from Pillar Box Blue has yet another amazing denim craft for us. These little Christmas trees. They are lovely plain and even lovelier with their little decorations.
This little crochet star ornament from Raji’s Craft Hobby is really pretty. It wold make a fun gift tag too wouldn’t it?
Congratulations to you all. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to add one to your blog :-)
Handmade Monday has a group Pinterest board. I pin as many of the projects shared here as I can each week, but I don’t always get to you all. If you’d like to join the board and pin your own projects there you are very welcome. Just follow all my boards on Pinterest then email or Pinterest message me, letting me know the email address you use for Pinterest and I’ll send you an invite.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, we most definitely are better together, so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another ^_^
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
