Hello everyone and welcome to Handmade Monday 81. This is our weekly link up where we all get chance to share what we've been up to. Stop for a while and share your makes, bakes or other craft related news.
I have a crafting dilemma that you all might be able to help with. I've shared this over on Instagram too so it could be a duplicate for some people. I was sorting some bits out the other day and came across this piece of crochet I made a few years ago.
I was just playing with the hexagon shapes and thought I was making a bag. But I never finished it. It just needs a lining. But what kind of bag should it be? A fold over clutch bag or a cross body bag? I like both ideas, I just can't decide - help me wise people!
Now let's have the features from last week's Handmade Monday.
Chas showed us how to make this bottle opener. It would be a great gift for the person who has everything and I feel like maybe every garden barbecue area should have one! Now I'm the proud owner of a pyrography tool (I will stop going on about it soon - promise!) I was thinking this could be something you could personalise with a little wood burning too.
Do you know what is easy to look after? Succulents. Do you know what is even easier to look after? Fake succulents!!!! Claire from Pillar Box Blue has saved you hours of work and collected up the best faux succulent ideas in one place.
Congratulations to you both. there is a "YAY I was featured" button for your blog over here if you want to show off just a little (Do it! You deserve it!)
And finally not a feature but a special mention about our Debby from Debby goes Shabby. Debby joins us here at Handmade Monday every now and again but has been missing for a while. Last week she shared in a post that her husband had passed away recently so blogging and sharing her beautiful home decor ideas has been the last thing on her mind. I just wanted to say how sorry we all were to hear you sad news and to say we are thinking of you Debby x
I do try my best to visit you all and also to pin your projects to our Handmade Monday Pinterest board. The trouble is that the more popular the link up gets the harder it is for me to get to you all. Please do consider joining our Pinterest Board if you've not already done so and then you can pin your projects directly. To join just follow the board and follow the instructions on the board description.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, (it's always better together) so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another ^_^
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
