Hi it’s Handmade Monday time! Handmade Monday is our place where craft bloggers can share up to 3 projects, craft patterns or tutorials, recipes or other craft ideas.
This week I have a story to demonstrate why I can be the queen of procrastination sometimes. I could compete for England in the procrastination Olympics.
Does anyone remember me sharing a crafting dilemma I had last September (unlikely I know!) I’d been given a whole load of plastic rings and wanted to use them somehow. I made a Dorset button which I loved but took me ages to make. Then I tried crocheting round them with some crochet cottons given to me by a friend when he mum passed away and they cleared her house. Well, 9 months later I have finally got my act together and turned them into earrings and got them listed in my Etsy shop. I need to take some better photos but I thought I’d stop procrastinating and just get them listed. I got my daughter to model them for me as I never like my neck in photos. The ones she’s wearing are my own pair, my prototype, which I’ve actually worn quite a lot since I made them last September, they are lovely and light. I’m now thinking maybe I should do some with tassels or pom poms for a summary festival vibe. Maybe I shouldn’t take another 9 months to get them listed!!
No more procrastinating! Let’s take a peek at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Please click on the photos to go through to the original posts if you want to pin any of these ideas.
Chas from Chas’ Crazy Creations lives up to her name and often shares some crazy creative ideas with us. This week is no exception, she turned an old candle holder into a super sweet serving centerpiece with tea cups. So creative! Can you imagine it for a tea party filled with different tea bags or for a hot chocolate bar or even a smores bar!
Drugstore Divas have made a super cute pen pot from an old glass jar - everything really is awesome!
Floss and Fleece have a wonderful yarn stash buster project, this beautiful wall hanging that she’s called Serenity.
Congratulations to you all. there is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog :-)
Do join our Pinterest Group board if you haven’t already done so. Then you can pin the projects that you link up here, I don’t even min dif you add the odd older project that you’ve not share here. as long as it’s a handmade project idea, tip or recipe it’s all good. I pin what I can that is shared here but when life gets busy that gets harder so if you all pin your own it’s win win :-) Instructions on how to join are on the board.
Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community, we most definitely are better together, so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.
Let's support one another ^_^
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
