Handmade Monday #140

Handmade Monday craft link up

Welcome to Handmade Monday, our weekly craft link up. A place for creative bloggers to share their ideas and projects and for us all to find some new inspiration or our next ‘must do’ project.

First I am full of apologies about last week’s Handmade Monday or rather the lack thereof!

I was away for a long weekend and thought I was all over everything like a rash. Social media shares where all scheduled, Sunday night’s Handmade Monday was scheduled, my entry for the Pinterest Challenge was all written and scheduled for Tuesday morning so I wouldn’t have any ‘just got back’ panics. Sadly I missed a vital last step on Handmade Monday so it didn’t happen. Totally human error, and the human that made the error was me! Ops - I’m sorry.

On the plus side I can now share with you a few pics of beautiful Sardinia where we went (if you follow on IG you may have already seen some of these - sorrynotsorry!)

our trip to sardinia

Ok, now here are the features from last time’s Handmade Monday, the one from 2 weeks ago, I’ve picked a few extra features to make up for missing last week. If you want to pin any of these ideas please do click through via the photo to the original project.

Anita from Unique Creations by Anita repurposed an old piano into a drinks cabinet/bar. It sounds like it was a real labour of love, the piano did not give up it’s innards easily! I don’t think something like this would fit in our house but I love it’s quirkiness and in the right ‘man cave’ it could be such a fab talking point.

With kids returning to school at this time of year it’s good to have some quick breakfast ideas you can shove in their hand as they run out the door. I don’t know about you but by secondary school (that’s when they are about 12) I started to loose the ‘you must have breakfast before you go’ battle and settled for an extra something in their lunch boxes that they could eat at break time in lieu of actual breakfast. It was a compromise we could all live with and these healthy breakfast bars from Treat and Trick would have been just perfect.

Talking of back to school, this simple glass jar to pencil pit idea from Drug Store Divas is super cute.

Last but by no means least check out this beautiful crochet sunflower square. I love sunflowers and I love crochet so I really love this free pattern from Caitlin’s Contagious Creations.

Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog

Do join our Pinterest Group board if you haven’t already done so. Then you can pin the projects that you link up here, I don’t even min dif you add the odd older project that you’ve not share here. as long as it’s a handmade project idea, tip or recipe it’s all good. I pin what I can that is shared here but when life gets busy that gets harder so if you all pin your own it’s win win :-) Instructions on how to join are on the board. ** It is essential that as well as requesting to join the board you also message me to say that you have put in the request and who you are. I get A LOT of people asking to join the board and then have to delete them and all their spammy rubbish when it turns out they are not genuine Handmade Mondayers. A Pinterest Message, email or even a comment here is fine **

Handmade Monday is all about building a crafting community,  we most definitely are better together, so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.

 Let's support one another  ^_^

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then hooray, we'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not stuff you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
