Handmade Monday #445
/Hi everyone, a very warm welcome to this week’s Handmade Monday creative link up.
Unfortunately I’ve been poorly all week so sadly not a lot of crafting has happened here. I’ve mostly been sleeping and half watching a little day time tv.
I posted on my social media that I had the lurgy and discovered yet another word that doesn’t translate to my friends across the pond! The lurgy is just a silly name for whatever bug is doing the rounds.
I did a bit of research and apparently it comes from the Goon Show in the 1950s - Spike Milligan introduced the fictional malady of Lurgi (sometimes spelled Lurgy) - I had no idea where it was from or how to spell it to be honest. The Goon Show was a little before my time but I do remember my Dad, Grandads and Uncle being fans and referencing it sometimes at family dinners.
The only thing I’ve managed that I can show you this week is a little colouring with some doodling over the top. I’m on the mend now thankfully so normal service should be resumming soon.
Now let’s that a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday.
Click through on the photos to see the original posts.
Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
This Halloween Book stack decor idea from Susan at From the Bay to the Beach is so easy and inexpensive to put together and looks great.
Missy from Sonata Home Design shared how to decorate a plain pumpkin with this MacKenzie-Childs checkerboard vibe.
Creatively Beth has taken a dollar store chopping board and turned it into this adorable little scarecrow.
Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.
At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
Julie
