If you’re here at Sum of their Stories there is a pretty good chance that you love a craft or two, but what about your friends and family? Do you have a mum who loves paper crafting, a gran who likes to crochet, a brother who can’t stop knitting or best friend who is an embroidery nut?
I’ve been scouring ‘tinternet for some great gift ideas. The criteria I’ve used is ‘Do I love it?’ - simple as that!
I’ve not listed BIG expensive gift ideas here, if you are splashing out on something special for a crafter I’d always recommend checking with them first that it’s exactly what they want.
For example, you might want to buy a crocheter a set of beautiful crochet hooks with ergonomic handles (I am pretty confident in saying all crocheters would love this as a gift) but before you buy you need to check what they already have, and if they prefer Clover, Addi, Prym etc. This is important stuff!
Or maybe you want to buy a lovely cutting machine for a papercrafter. They will know if they want Cricut, Sizzix, Silhouette, Brother, Crafters Companion etc. Don’t spend that much money without checking with them first!
So this gift guide is all about those ‘little something’ stocking fillers or smaller gifts. Hopefully this gift guide will make your shopping for craft loving friends and family easier. And don’t forget, there’s nothing in the rules that says you can’t forward this to any family or friends that might need a hint for you too of course!!
Click through each photo or the linked words to find out how to buy these gift ideas. Some of these are affiliate links, some I’ve just included because I love them - either way the price you pay is the same.
This pin badge from Dawny’s Sewing Room is a perfect little gift for all of us fabric addicts!
This quirky Knitting Squirrel print would look great in any craft room, the talented artist Fran Jones offers this print as a greeting card too.

A Crochet Journal like this one is much more than just a note book. There’s loads of information and lots of pages to help plan all your crochet projects.
There’s a similar journal available for knitters too, get control of all those WIP’s and get organised!
Don’t forget a gift voucher for a craft store is always a MOST acceptable gift. We all like having some ‘free money’ to spend on craft supplies!
Minerva Crafts sell almost everything in their online store, I can’t imagine anyone having any trouble spending a gift voucher there! ^ _ ^
I have a few items in my Etsy shop too, which are fun gifts for creative folks. Project bags, scissor fobs, needle books, needle minders etc.
There you go - I’ve either helped you sort out Christmas or just giving you a big long “I want one” list! #sorrynotsorry!
