Modern Craft Kits, a Gift Guide

Christmas is a great time of year to give a craft kit. Kits are perfect for introducing a new craft without having to spend a fortune on lots of equipment and supplies. Craft kits are the perfect way to allow a loved one to have a go at any crafts that they’ve never tried but always wanted to. They are lovely for any age as well, you are definitely never too old to try a new craft. Obviously when giving a craft kit to a child you need to check the guidance to see if it’s age appropriate but I’m sure that it’s because I was lucky enough to be given lots of craft kits as a child that I like so many different creative pastimes now.

I’ve put together some collections of kits from Etsy that are suitable for crafters or wannabe crafters of all ages with an assortment of crafts so there is something for everyone. They are from Etsy shops in a variety of places in the world, I’ve tried to pick shops that offer shipping to most parts of the world as much as possible - do just be sure you check dispatch countries and the estimated delivery times to wherever you are in the world.

Craft Kits for Clay and Modelling

This collection has a selection of lovely craft kits featuring different materials you can use for modelling. I’ve included clay, resin, polymer clay and wire kits. I also found a couple of kits for Kintsugi which is the beautiful Japanese way of mending pottery with visible gold lines.

Christmas Craft Kits

My final collection is Christmas crafts, mostly ornaments but a few other decorative Christmas crafts too. There’s a mix of painting, felting, sewing, embroidery, punch needle, macrame, all sorts really - hopefully something for everyone.

Craft kits are one of my favourite things to give and to receive. Do you think you’ll be gifting any kits this Christmas? Hopefully you’ve found some inspiration here, I’ve certainly enjoyed finding all these ideas.
